Hi pirate#3 -

What is it you are looking for?

The Zip tie mod will open up the intake - by removing the airbox cover.

Doing this, however, allows water to run into the airbox through the gap between the leading edge of the hood and the front fascia.

I recommend a hood seal with the zip tie mod.

It is a good way to save some $ for headers, or a tune etc.

I had mine done for a while, then put on a Halltech TRAP just because I liked the looks of that setup.

best regards -

yes, I already had a hood seal and you shouldnt do it unless you have one too.

I did it with a K&N filter with long black tie wraps and it looks like it was made that way. Definately use a hood seal

I did mine last week, bought the K&N filter $60 and a bag of zip ties for $5. what a deal! It's the cheapest mod you can do and completely reversible if you change your mind.

I did it a long time ago and the car dyno'd 365rwhp & 358tq, with only this mod, I also drove thru some serious rain in florida last year on power tour and not a single problem, I have since switch but only because I got a great deal on a new intake.
