The painted wheels from Speedline that you have are cast. The OEM forged were/are all high polished except for the (approximately) first half of 2000, when the forged wheels came both polished and painted. As for cost, not really sure what these are worth - if I had to take a guess, it would be around $400-500, depending on condition.

how can you tell between the forged and cast on the painted type?
I'm almost positive that Speedline did not make the painted forged wheels for GM, so the markings on the back of the wheel would be different. Second, visually they are quite different (at least once you've seen them). The forged spokes are thinner, and the edges of the spokes are much crisper.

You are correct. I don't remember the manufacturer of the painted forged wheels either. I do remember that the part number and wheel size where stamped on the back of the spoke as opposed to being cast in.
