I hate condos
So, I come in Saturday night with my Vette after midnight (actually Sunday morning, to be technical). There is no parking available whatsoever in the visitor spots. Someone was having a party.
So I move my Pathfinder to the side of the street (condo street, very little traffic).
This is the only time I've had to do this. People have parked up there before, but not me. Around noon on Sunday I was about to leave, when I see a cop parked behind my car.
Turns out someone BACKED INTO my Pathfinder. He had plenty of room, yet somehow managed to smash my entire rear passenger side door in, which will surely need replacing. It won't even shut right, he hit it so hard. At least his insurance will be paying for it.
I'm assuming the jackass called the condo complex to complain about me being there. Like his 15 feet to exit his driveway wasn't enough room. What if there was a kid or something there? If he doesn't see a 4200 pound SUV, he surely won't see little Johnny playing.
So I get a call from the condo association today. They left a message saying they are fining me $100! $50 for each day it was parked. Funny, because it was only there from about 12:30AM Sunday to around Noon Sunday, after it was hit.
We've paid the $250 dues since 1995. I have NEVER parked in any other spot than what was designated until this time, where I had no other choice.
Such bull****. They are going to get an earful from me tomorrow.
