Gotta agree.. the '99 Targa Coupe has been a dandy.. and my original baby.. But this new car we call "Reds Z06" an '04 CE Z16 Z06 #1973 of 2025 is a striped beast even a '99 can't hold a candle to... gosh it's fun lookin at two of these animals in the garage.. Brought home the CE at the end of January.. cool, HB
They are all good cars but I would go for the lowest mileage car I could find. There are some great deals out there but make sure the column lock bypass recall has been done properly. Basically the same problems occured on all the years except for the oil burning issues on the 2001's. I had a 97 and a 98 and they were not w/out problems. However, the same problems occured on the newer cars too. GM doesnt seem to care about not nipping a problem in the bud with next production year or the next or the next. They just forget to remedy the problem.
Any C5 after the first years is without any question a great car, anyone who has the early years of the c5 are great also. I feel after a few years problems get worked out. I have a 50th anniversary with the magnetic ride. Love the car, it is a keeper...
You should buy the lowest miles youngest c5 you can afford, warranty is a good thing on high tech cars.
