Default a/d/s, Diamomd Audio?

I posted this in the car audio section as well. I have a C5 and am looking to do 6.5 components in the doors and 5.25's in the rear. I was wondering who out there has had experience with Diamond Audio and a/d/s. Any feedback would be great

Justin

Had a/d/s stuff in a car years back. Very clean sounding speakers, but if I remember it was pretty expensive equipment. Since then, I have found that I really like MBQuart for speakers...

I have a Diamond Audio 10" sub in the back and it is a great speaker.

I have plenty of experience with Diamond! I have 3 amps, the E7054 by Esoteric (Diamond bought Esoteric and their designs) and the D7054 and the D5600.4. I also have owned 3 sets of Diamond Hex components in addition to the TDX sub in a custom designed box to the specs Diamond sent me. I have no affiliation with Diamond, I'm just a consumer. I've also used and like MB Quart, Boston Acoustic, and Focal. IMO, the Esoteric/Diamond amps are very warm, clear, and powerful amps. I also enjoy the Diamond Hex components, especially the silk tweeters. I did however remove the rear set of Hex in my car and replaced them with Focals for more midbass. If you're interested in the D5 600.4 amp, let me know and I'll consider selling it. The rest, I'm keeping!

I just purchased the Boston Z6's. 6 1/2" for my fronts. I used to love ADS and Focal. I heard these and they sounded great, but you have to run them with quality equipment and power. I have an Audison amp to run mine. They are pricey though, $1000.00 a pair.

I've got ADS three ways in the doors and the shock towers and their now discontinued very high end amp powering all. Sounds absolutely phenomenal. I had a variety of ADS stuff in some Porsche Turbos in the 80's; again, great sound and quality. My car's pretty noisy, as you can imagine from my sig, so it isn't an ideal exemplar of an audio setup. Nevertheless, my system sounds great and accurately represents the music I like to listen to (Jazz/Blues/Classical and Classics, rock when I'm really rolling). ADS build quality is first rate, as is the sound. See if you can hear this stuff before you buy.

Good luck with your project.

The guy who I bought my vette from put in Diamond Audio speakers, mids and tweeters in the doors and just a sub in the back. The sound is incredibly clean...and I thought my Bose speakers sounded pretty good...no way compares to DA...you will love the clean sound they produce!
