Ultimate non performance Vette mod
so i think if someone would create some kind of a platform to hold a baby seat in there it would be the best vette mode ever .. (for me)
what's your thoughts?
Considering there is absolutely no other restraint mechanism in that car, no matter where you put the baby, strapped down in any way shape or form, there's no garanteed way to restrain the baby enough to protect him/her in the event of a crash. You wouldn't want baby parts flying everywhere, now would you? Just my .02

I actually saw a couple at an auto show in a viper that did this. Couple of id10ts if you ask me. Good luck

Don't do it!. The car is a two passenger vehicle and it is not designed to hold three in anyway. You wouldn't intentionally jeopardize your child - would you? If you try this you would be!

I bought my C4 brand-new, and loved it to death. When baby #1 came along, everyone was telling me to sell my Vette. Now, in a C4, some models had tie down hooks in the back, and I always told myself I would make something very secure using those tie down hooks, and then be able to safely place the infant carrier in my creative device (I know you're trying to think of something, too).
Well, thank God I never got around to doing it. Just about two years ago, in stopped traffic, sitting at a red light, waiting my turn to turn right and merge onto a stopped freeway, the numbskull behind me says he "thought I went", and floored it! He was in a raised 4x4 with a brush guard on the front.
Needless to say, my car was totalled from behind. We were both stopped, and he nails it, and I'm no more than 1 car length ahead of him. You wouldn't think from a stop at that distance the dmamge could be all that bad. Well, can you imagine how hard that impact actually was to total my car? I now have a disc in my neck pressing on my spinal cord.
Well, no one gives a sh|t about me, but, can you imagine what would've happened to my baby?
Of course, the guy had no insurance.
Look closely at the roof line, and look a the roll bar thingy ( I don't know what it's called). See how it's tweaked even up there?

once again this is the best forum ever, and i realy appreciate the quality of cf mebers, way to go

You're just asking the LEO that'll stop you with this to have a coronary, arrest you, slap your wife for letting you use the device, and then put the child in protective services.
had a child seat mounted between the seats using the strong buklhead
behind the seats and a bracket over the console area. It was very rigid. A C5 is huge inside compared to a Pantera. You could probably make use of a cross bar like some cars have if this was really important to you. I wouldn't do it, but then I think kids
should stay home until they're about 15
.
