Whats the best size for the wagons on the rear, running 275's and they just dont look wide enough, though i dont want to ruin the handling, is there much tire roll if I change?
Be aware if you have OEM Goodyear runflats that they are about 2 inches wider than other size 275's. This is why they "look" so good on a C5. Also runflats handle better than nonrunflats, Corvette Enthusist just tested them. Now they don't "hook up" or ride as good as nonrunflats. Runflats also get like 10% better mileage.
Even though you go up sizes in other tires, you may not get a wider tire.

Two inches wider, are you sure. That would make C5 runflats wider than Z06 tires. Actually that would put them in the neighborhood of a 325-335 series tire. Have you ever seen how far a 335 series tire sticks out past the fender on a non tubbed C5.
Runflats handle better than non runflats, . I think thread starter better wait for a few more opinions on this one. The gas mileage thing also fails to pass the smell test, especially 10%.
If Corvette Enthusiast published that sort of misinformation I am happy I do not read it.

i didn't notice much tire roll difference. I ran 295's on my waggon's in the rear no problem.

-I just went to tire rack and the rear stock EMT tire is 10.3 inches in tread width. The rear Z06 tire (295) is only 10.2 inches ! So you are in fact correct !
-Other widths: Firestone = 8.6 inches; even Goodyears 275 F1 GS D3 (rated highest in recent tests) is only 9.4 inches wide.
-I noted this once before, it seems like Goodyear and GM created a special size runflat that is wider than other similiar size tires.
-I did not make up the other facts either.

I did not say it was made up, I just said it was wrong. I don't question peoples integrity on the forum.

I have seen both tires and I still don't agree with the numbers that the runflats are 2 inches wider than other 275 series tires.
Add 2 inches to an average 275 series tire and you are looking at over 12 inches, in other words a 325-335 series tire.
