Default Never enough!!!!!

Used to drive about 22 miles to work one way, and everytime I know I can drive my C5 because of the nice weather, I get excited , but after a while 22 miles seems so short, it seems like I get to work to fast. Permagrin seemed to have been cut short . Just got worse because work is closer now. Only about 8 miles.Anybody else feel this?

I DO understand your feelings, however, I don't go to work any more - so stuck with just riding every pretty day and enjoying the hell out of it! Hmmmm - gonna be nice (mid-60's) here today - think I'll take a ride!!

You drive your car to work how dare you put 8 miles on your car each way everyday the weather is nice your car should sit in the garage and must maintain low mileage

flip switch- turn off the Garage queen mentality.

Sorry don't know what I was think.
I drive mine everyday when I am at home not working of the road, always a joy to drive the car.

You should see the reactions of the kids when I pick-up my GF daughter from school. I always seem to get a parking spot right up front where everyone can see the car

I have a short commute in the Chicagoland area, too. Sometimes, shorter ain't all that bad in Chicagoland.

In Houston eight blocks would be too much.

Oh no no no no You got it all wrong. I only drive it on nice days in the "winter"(Dr. Evil voice) and 2 or 3 times a week in the Spring/Summer/Fall. My car is semi-garage queen 3 1/2 y/o with high 12K miles, so about 4K miles a year. The only advantage of driving 8 miles one way or 16 miles round trip is even if I drive it 4 times a week ( number of days I work), I only rack up about 64 miles a week or 256 miles in 4 weeks or 3328 miles in 52 weeks or 1 year. , but 8 miles is a penny less and a dollar short. I want more permagrin

You need to start taking the scenic route to work each day. Surely if you look at a map you can find some less traveled roads to travel.

When I drive the Vette to work, I take the quick route in the Morn, with just one stop light. on the way home, it is the route with lots of stop lights. Oh yeah, it is a 37 mile drive each way.

Scenic route would be Rt 30 ,for those who live in my area is not exactly a scenic route but it has a 50 mph speed limit, if there are no semi's or if it is around midnight, I can open her up a bit. Permagrin achieve for about 3 or 4 mins only. See my smilies are conflicting, it is the effect of not having enough permagrin.

I hate to take mine to the mall if I am with friends for a movie or dinner. The ride is too short (5 miles) and the whole time I am in the mall I am thinking about driving that ole girl.

I'm the town next to you and I know what you are saying....I go up I55 and then up 355 for a 25 mile trip each way...I drive the Vette whenever there isn't snow on the ground and love it.....although supposed to snow today so no Vette

Mines a Daily Driver. Nothing like a long drive with the top down after a crappy day at work!

Find a scenic route and enjoy the car!
