^ It's not hard, but you have to remove the center section of the exhaust and the tunnel plate. I have a remote bleeder line installed to make it easier. You can just start sucking the fluid out of the reservoir on a regularly basis.
Ive been removeing and adding fluid to the resovoir. Im going to bleed it also. thanks
Had 350 passes on my 02 Z06 with no pedal issues and without ever bleeding the clutch.
Instead, from new, I changed the fluid in the reservoir regularly, always keeping it clear in color. Whenever the fluid took on color, I drained the reservoir and refilled it.
Mine had a remote bleeder from LAPD but I didn't use it. If you do go with the remote, it's a good idea to insulate the lines with cool-sox, nomally used for plug wires. They will help keep the heat off your fluid.
The goal of fluid maintenance is to keep goo and debris from cooked fluid from building up in the hydraulics.
I am following the frequent fluid change routine on my C6Z, with the hope of keeping my pedal normal throughout its life.
I got my bleeder from the folks at carolina clutch when I got my Luk stage II. I've used it once for a full bleed. Helped my sticky issues big time.
I did have a bad issue where it chafed through the plastic fuel line and I had to have my car flat bedded home from a vette BBQ in northern VA... sucked big time but I'm lucky the car didn't burn to the ground.
I now use a fuel hose to cover the remove bleeder to prevent this from happening again.
