I need to remove the shifter to replace a solenoid that is bad.
I have all the plastic off and now want to remove the shifter.
I see several nuts around the outside of the shifter assembly.
If i remove these nuts and pull the shifter out am i going to have problems.
I just need a little direction before i tear into it...Thanks

I don't think you have to mess with those 4 bolts, but I could be wrong. You need to take off the shifter **** and then the boot in order to get to the A/T shift lock control solenoid. Is that the solenoid you're trying to replace?

Yes thats the solenoid. It is not working properly and my car gets stuck in park.
I will tear into it and see what happens.
