Welcome to the family and congratulations on the new ride. Great color. There were 9,752 1997 Corvettes built, the lowest of all C5 years. 3,026 were torch red. You can read more here:

http://idavette.net/facts/97.htm

and here:

http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...997/index.html

Your VIN will tell you which car off the line yours was. The last six digits starting with the 1 (100001-109752) will be the production sequence.

Thanks all! Yeah a High is a good way to describe it! LOL I'm sittin in my apartment w/ nothin to do like "Man, I need to drive somewhere!!! But where?" lol

Also, unfortunately the tips are just clip on inserts things... i guess they'll do for now until i get the Borla Stingers...

And my Vette is number 1,518 off the lot in 97. Not important, i just thought it was interesting... Anyone on here have number 1-10?

Congrats on the purchase. Looks great! I used to live in Lacey myself, bought my 97 Sebring Silver Coupe up in Seattle. No problems with it at all. Enjoy the car and the Forum. Great people and know how in here.

Welcome, great pictures. You are going to have a fun Spring and summer when it gets here. If you have a owners manual, spend a little time reading it. You will find out a lot about your Vette.
Have Fun
