Real wood C5 dash?...
Having owned an Austin Healy and a couple Jags, and being older and longing for a little retro style in my '97 C5, I would love to find a set of genuine wood dash replacement pieces or quality wood overlays for most areas of the dash, drive tunnel, and doors.
Does this exist? If so where might I find it?
I have done some half hearted looking but have been so busy the last year or so that I haven't found anything except thin plastic overlays.
Any thoughts?

Eckler's sells 2 wood kits for the C5 an RPO Burlwood & an RPO Rosewood set. I have the burlwood. It isn't thin & its the real stuff.

I have the molded burlwood kit also. They are getting hard to find since most folks shun wood inside a corvette. If I am not mistaken, Ecklers stopped selling them, as well as RKSport. I had to search to find a kit last year.
Mid America sells a 5 piece kit, but I have the 6 piece. It is in a shale/neutral interior and looks awesome. Good luck finding one.

Take a look at Exotic Wood Dash products. I've installed about a dozen or so dash kits and have found them to have the best stuff. There are several "tricks" to properly installing the pieces so they won't come loose. PM me if you have any questions.

Barkingowl - That wood dash kit looks awesome in your car. I'm normally not a fan of wood kits in a Corvette, but seeing your's has me rethinking that.
