12.4 @ 115?
so i just ran my car at the track for the first time and my best time was 12.4 @ 115 with a 2.0 60'. my mods are exhuast predetor programer and a shifter. i ran this time on kuhmo exsta mx's wich are just a street radial. i just wanted to know if this sounds like where i should be running? should i be satisfied or should i have ran a better time?
With a 2.0 60', I'd have guessed a 12.3 at 116, but I think you are about right where you should be. I can't get any better than a 2.1 60' with my stock F1's.
What we're the air/coolant temps during that run? Shift points? Launch rpm?
I blasted a 12.25@117 the other night on a stone cold stock engine.(04 Z) Air temp was 40 deg's. I also dropped the rear tire pressure to 20 and did a small burnout(Per Rangers suggestion) as well as overinflating the fronts.
Shift JEEEUST before the limiter on all gear changes. That is the hot ticket to quick times.

i droped the clutch at about 2500rpms and shifted right at 6500.
the weater was pretty nice it was like 60 degrees and a little windy....oh and my tire preasure was at 30. thats sick that u ran a 12.2 all stock!
I obtained a 1.99 short, slipping the clutch and definitely not on an optimum surface(Wednesday nights have a lot of rice etc). I'm sure with more practice I could improve it. An "11" as it is? Maybe Ranger could do it seeing He has the ability....but your car definitely has more in it. Thanks for the kind words on my run

For pretty much stock your times and mph seem to be right on and your car is a typical healthy Z06. Put on some drag radials and knock your 60 ft time down to 1.7 ot 1.8s, and you wil be right around 12.0 flat!
Run 1: Idle launch 23psi
Temp 57*
Hum 56
Bar 29.04
R/T .493
60' 2.237
1/4 13.383
MPH 110.73
I actually let go of the gas in 1st because I felt wheel hop and I had experienced this before in my mustang...so I lifted and shifted to 2nd...
Run 2: Launch at 2200, 23 psi about 2.5 hours after first run
Temp 73
Hum 32
Bar 29.52
R/T .255
60' 2.201
1/4 16.242
MPH 85.75
Either the clutch got stuck or I did not lift my foot all the off, but this was in 1-2 2-3 and 3-4...so I am thinking the clutch got stuck....car was smoking all the way...nasty smell...thought my day wasover.
Run 3: idle launch 23 psi
TEmp 73
Hum 30
Bar 29.68
R/T .343
60' 2.130
1/4 12.844
MPH 112.34
This whole run felt good...
