Sorry to hear of this, but glad it was the moulding and not your door. Should be a very easy fix for any experienced body/paint guy. I recently had some repairs done by a mobile service that was a lot less than a new set of BSM's. Good luck.

i'd try the parts section here. people are all the time removing these 'ugly' things, although my car still wears its BSMs cause i like em.

I still can't believe how people can be so careless and stupid.

How hard is it to be considerate of the car next to you?

I just don't understand... I've never whacked another car... sometimes I want to do it intentionally, though.

I think I'd rather whack the guy who got out of his car rather than whack his car back.

Yes, some people are truly rotten. Although it could have been a 80 years old who couldn't see your car it it was parked on top or them. Amen to BSM's. Glad the damage wasn't worst.

If you purchase a new molding, it will come unpainted. Might just want to see if a body shop can use a filler on the area and then just paint it to match. It is unfortunate that there is so many careless people out there.

There are millions of people out there who think that a car is nothing more than a means of getting from one location to another. Never under estimate their stupdity or lack of concern when it comes to caring about someone elses car.

Get rid of the BSM's and learn to park (in only one space, please!!!) out in the back 40 of the parking lot. Most of us could use the exercize and it will cut down (but no guarantee that it will eliminate) the careless and inconsiderate bozos parking right next to you. Sorry for your "incident".....

If you park in the back 40, you then have to worry about the bozos who don't take care of their shopping carts, they always seem to drift that way too.

If you like the BSM's, then keep 'em. They just saved you a far more expensive repair than if you went without 'em!!

Sounds like the BSM's did their job and protected your door.

If you can't locate a new one painted the color of your car, you can certainly get it painted to match.
