Called my local gm shop today to get an estimate on lowering the car. Total would be $150 to lower and alignment. I know some of you guys have done it yourselfs. But the ones who have paid does this price seem reasonable?
I just paid $90 for an alignment at dealer after my new C6 Z06 shocks and sway bar install.....no one else would touch the car for one reason or another...whatever. But I wouldn't pay anyone to lower it....its just to easy
Remember that you have to lower it...drive it for about 100 or so miles to let it settle and THEN have it aligned! Otherwise you'll be paying for that alignment twice.

Hmmm glad you pointed that out. There (gm) talking about doing the alignment right after the lowering. No drive time
Do it. Good price. If you lower it yourself and pay $100 bucks for just the alignment, you'll be kickin' yourself in the ****.
ok..but what if he lets them lower it and align it then decides he wants to go a bit lower?? If he does it himself and drives it and decides to go lower he can....then drive it more then align it.
If he pays them and doesn't like it..he has to pay again.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Don't let them align it right after lowering it. It's pointless. Mine settled considerably just on the drive home.
