FRC stands forFixed Roof Coupe, It is the same configuration as the Z06, Meaning it has a true trunk lid. While the coupe has a window that extends back to the rear bumper and it opens like a hatch back. Many believe that the FRC/Z06 chassis is stiffer because of the roof. Actully, the roof is glued on, the additional strength comes from chassis reinforcements. I think GM did this to give more distinction between the models.
Hope that helps,
Nick

Fixed Roof Coupe - notice the "notchback" and trunk. Looks similar to a convertible with the top up. Does not have the removable targa panel of the coupe.

And also if I am not mistaken FRC comes with a Z51 suspension(standart) and on the other hand doesn`t have an auto climate control.

Incorrect. Most non-FRC owners seem to think that FRCs were optionless.

Mine has dualzone A/C, (had)Bloze system w/CD changer, fog lights, lighting package, power seat, HUD and AH. In 2000 they also had telescopic steering and optional magnesium wheels.

All come standard with six-speed, Z51, power steering cooler and a 3.42 rear end.

They're also slightly lighter and ~12% stiffer.

I also love the way they look. Although sometimes I wish I could take the top off.
