We went for a drive today and we passed a total of 9 vettes,3 C6's,3 C4's,2 C3's and 1 C5, all men driving, with the one execption was a lady driving the C4, 6 people waved back, can you guess who didnt?YEP 2 out of the 3 C6's didn't and the lady driven C4 dind't(sorry ladys,I know the CF ladys aren't that way) , I guess it wouldnt bother me so much if I didnt and they didnt, but what is so tough to wave back, its just being courtious, I would like to let those people know that they are number 1
Here's one lady from Northern California waving at you. I have determined it is the area you are in. In my town, about 50% wave. In the Sonoma valley about 80% wave at you. I have gotten to the point that the guys here on CF are my familia! So here's one for you!
I do too and then cuse them if they don't. Maybe next time they will get it! I have noticed the C6 owners don't get it. Maybe we will ask GM to put it in the owner's manual!

That's a good idea!
Some C6 owners wave. There is one I have crossed paths with several times in my town in Central NJ that always waves. Today I got a light flash from an early to mid 60's. Coming from a classic like that reminds you of the pride and tradition of these cars. I didn't know of the wave until a few days after I bought my first one in May 2004. My bosses boss told me to make sure to wave. I think a lot of these C6 guys have bought the best car for the money and don't know about the wave. They'll catch on just keep waving.

I passed a few 'Vette's today, and waved at them all. I was unable to tell whether or not they were waving back or not, due to their window tints, glare of the sun off their glass, etc. Nice if they did, but no sweat if they didn't. The other day, I got a big, wide palm wave from a Yellow C6, and I gave one right back at him.
I'm finding that I'm caring less and less whether or not they wave back. When they do, it's a good feeling, when they don't, it no longer bugs me.

When I owned a C3 I waved. When I owned a C5 I waved. I now own a C6 I ALWAYS wave.
I give it about a 50% benefit of the doubt thinking that perhaps some just don't see another vette on a four lane highway. Sometimes I get pretty involved in the road and the passenger or whatever and then realize a Vette has passed and I haven't waved. However, sometimes I go overboard and wave above the windshield if the top is down. Does that make up for missing a few?

More and more I come across Corvette owners that just don't wave back. Hope it is not a trend that is spreading - would be a shame to see a tradition go away. An explanation of the wave should be something that a dealership should tell buyers when the do the pre-delivery checklist.
I guess compared to others on the forums, I've had pretty good luck with C6 drivers. The other week, in fact, I had a wave from a C6 that passed me when I was sitting in a left hand turn lane waiting for the light to turn green.
