I had an error a few months ago on the DIC that said "CHARGE SYSTEM FAULT". It would appear very infrequently. A few weeks ago had the alternator replaced as the source of the problem. Went for a couple weeks, then it appeared again, but only stayed on for a couple seconds and cleared by itself. (Before the alt replacement it would not clear by itself.) A couple weeks later it briefly appeared again. Each time I report it to the service writer and he logs it so that when my car is out of warranty they'll take care of it if it becomes a problem again.

Make sure your belt is on there tight... check the surpentine (spelling) tensioner.... make sure its in top shape... My surpentine tensioner broke loose, causing my belt to just fall off.... when I tried to start my car, I got the "System Charge Fault" error.... obviously just because there was no belt to charge anything.... check the belt and the tensioner....
