DEI/Viper makes a good remote starter, you'll need the VATS by-pass. I had a local shop do it for $300

Good luck

I am a certified installer and have done countless numbers of remote start installations. I mainly install the Viper DEI units which are VERY good quality systems. However unless you know exactly what you are doing I would highly recommend getting it done by a professional. You will be tapping into (soldering) critical vehicle wires such as all of the heavy gauge ignition wires, factory alarm disarm/arm, lock and unlock, parking lights, brake signal, tach and many more. Not to mention most newer cars you will need relays, sometimes diodes and resistors, and for sure the VATS bypass for the Corvette.
The Viper 160xv is the most popular unit and includes 2 remotes, and can completely replace your factory remote for power locks and trunk pop. This unit goes for around $200, then you need the GM VATS bypass which is around $55 then labor costs if you decide to have it done somewhere.

If you are serious about doing it yourself PM me and I can get you the tech sheets for the C5 Corvette that we use at work which gives you all the wiring info you need for the DEI viper install.
