Yesterday i decided to run my 01 ZO6 AT Capitol Raceway. The more miles i put on this car the faster it goes. My ZO6 has 77,850 hard driven miles and is completely stock except for the twin cone air filters. If anyone has questioned the durability of the 385 hp LS6, hopefully yesterdays run will put those concerns to rest. To my surprise the car went 12.446 @ 113.99 mph (best run to date). The 60' was 1.922 on the stock supercar radials. I congratulate GM on building one tough high performing engine. You can see pics of my car at the track getting ready to run the 1/4 at capitolraceway.com The picture # is IMG_8312

Reason: misspelling of web site
Awesome... I have just over 55k on mine. But I had to have mine re-ringed... and the dif leaked, and the trans leaked at the rear, and now it's seeping at the front! Oh and the rear main seal leaked a little.
However I run HPDE in the car... and I'm meticulous about maintenance.
GM warranty (extended) has fixed everything, but I think I'm going to try using good RTV on the front trans seal instead of wasting time in the shop having them pull it all out again.
Awesome....that's a strong, near stock high mileage 01! Makes me proud owning an 01! Does your car burn oil or have you done the re-ring? I've only got 36K miles on my ride.
The engine has has never been apart. There are no leaks from the engine but it does like to drink the mobil 1. I have to add a quart between oil changes. The only problems i have with the car are sometimes the fuel gauge doesn't work properly and the clutch pedal likes to stick to the floor under hard acceleration. Overall ,with the performance this car delivers, i don't complain about the few problems it has. Nothing relieves stress like banging some gears while prowling the streets hunting for SNAKE (THE OTHER WHITE MEAT) and RICE !!! This car was built for one thing and i bought it for one thing, HARD DRIVING.

I love too hear that, it shows you you can drive and race. My wife and I drive every where as long as no rain or snow. 1 good thing about Capital is if you run good there you run the same every where.

The 02' "Z" I bought a couple of weeks ago had just turned 70k on it. The car checked out perfect before I bought it, clean, no leaks. Reading all the posts on reliability on these cars helped me make my decision to go ahead and buy the Z with that much mileage. Hopefully I can put another 70k on it without any major work.

PUt in some chevron techron fuel injector cleaner into the gas tank...or GM version and it'll remove the sulfur from the fuel gauge sensors .....
The clutch pedal sticking is the slave, and a lot of guys are putting in LS7 clutch, pressure plates and ls7 flywheels..along with ls6 slaves and masters...
