Does the Chevy bowtie appear anywhere on/in a Vette? Does the word "Chevrolet" appear anywhere other than the startup message on the DIC?
Had my Vette for about 5 months now and I haven't seen these anywhere. The Corvette must be the only Chevy product without either the brand or symbol being prominently displayed.
I know at least two people who love my Vette but never knew Chevy made them.
I thought that too. If it wasn't for the flags, there wouldn't be a Chevy emblem anywhere. At those were only added after the american flag was poo poo'd in 1953.
The F-Body was the same way. Chevrolet only appeared on the nose emblem, and beside the rear RS/Z28/SS logo. Pontiacs only had the logo on the steering wheel.
That's funny..Who did they think manufactured them??
They both seemed to think that Corvette's were way to neat to be made by Chevy. Think about it, how many cars do you almost never hear referred to by their models without the makers name too?
Everyone knows what a Corvette is but a lot don't know what a Boxster or most other sports cars are.
A month or so ago, I went to visit my sister who was in the hospital, on the first floor. When I got inside, my other sister had apparently been watching for me out the window, and she said, "Wow ... that sure is a fancy car you got out of! What kind is it?" I told her ... it's a Chevrolet.
