As I was coming from the barber, and went to the parking lot , there was a C5, and a C6 parked next to each other. I looked them over for about 5 min., and although I like the C6, the c5 looked more aggressive , and slicker. I was thinking about a C6, but the more I look , the more I like my C5.
I was at the dealership several weeks ago. Drove my '04 coupe. Was looking at a C6 and some stranger said " if you are thinking about trading yours in on the C6 DON'T. Yours looks a lot better". I stepped back and looked at mine again, then the C6, then back to mine. I agreed with him and drove back home.

Even though I like the looks of the C6 Z06, the looks of the C6 just doesn't do it for me - inside or outside. I prefer the lines and the shape of the C5 - even with the BSM.

As I was coming from the barber, and went to the parking lot , there was a C6, and a C5 parked next to each other. I looked them over for about 5 min., and although I like the C5 and C6, my C3 looked more aggressive , and slicker. I was thinking about it, but the more I look , the more I like my C3.
IMO the C5 looks sleek and cool, the C6 looks like a Japanese modded C5 - but thats the new trend. Besides, the C5 was (and is) a great car, so Chevy decided to act on what worked and make it better (or worse, depending on your point of view). I'm thinking the only way to change the corvette would be to make it a mid-engine car, since I'm not too sure of how they're going to make another corvette after how good the C5/C6 have been (unless they add more aircraft extras, like a Jet engine and an Ejector seat lol).

As much as I initially disliked it, I'm gradually warming to the C6, but I think I will always ultimately prefer the compound curves of the C5 to the angular stance of the C6. To me, the C6 looks more like a logical evolution of the more angular C4.
The C5 is a dream machine unto itself. If anything, it is more closely related to the sexy curves of the early C3's.
I'm also not impressed with the hard plastic switches in the C6. I took a look inside one at a local dealer and while some like to deride the soft touch switches in the C5, I prefer the tactile feel of them compared to hard plastic.
But, I have no real gripe with the C6 anymore. Just not for me. I want to see what the C7 looks like, provided GM can stay solvent and actually bring one into production someday. But I wouldn't rule out a clean C6 in a couple of years after the original owner takes the big depreciation hit. I don't buy new cars anymore. Been there, done that. I'd rather keep the cash then bask in the waft of that semi-toxic "new car smell" for a few thousand miles.

I had a lady at the dealership, who was buying a Cobalt, tell me the same thing, as she watched the sales manager take my '03 for a test drive, and looked over the DSOM C6 I was trading it in on.
I didn't listen to her...... And I'm glad that I didn't.
