I am looking for my second Vette (sold the first one) and I have regretted it ever since. In my qwest to find the perfect vette for me, I've came across some for sale that were supercharged, and I was wondering about the supercharged vette. It sounds like it would be a beast. I am especially interested in buying a vette that was done by lingenfelter, and I was looking for some replies from owners of supercharged cars and just some general info. If I I could find a mil yellow supercharged vert, I'd be all over it!
I bought an 02 with a procharger on it. It had 9,300 miles when I picked it up, so far in a little over 2,000 miles its been great. The owner had it tuned by A&A the dyno sheet says 473 whp. It has a little whine to it but mostly not noticeable in the car. Below 3,500 rpm it's just like a regular car but after that the performance is unbelievable. It's almost laughable, everyone who has ridden in it said the same thing " holy s#*t " even a guy who has a C6. I've driven regular C5s but they seem dead on the road after this one. Drive or ride in one if you get a chance. As far as buying advice I really don't know what to tell you. Mine was installed and tuned by professionals and runs perfect, maybe I just got lucky. A friend of mine owns a performance shop here in So Cal and told me if I don't abuse it I should have a car that will lost a long time. Just a little more maintenance with the supercharger but to me well worth it. A side note, I think anything over about 450 rwhp is basically unusable at 3,500 rpm+ in first or second with street tires there is no traction... but what a blast!
I have a A&A DS1C with some sick hp and just love it. I got almost 3k since I been blowin and not looking back. Had the car out in the Texas Hill Country for a 200 mile run today and no issues, this is the 3rh time this year I have take my car on runs of this distance. Nothing like having fun in the wide open country and hitting the throttle and seeing anywhere between 10-14 lbs of boost all the while being slammed back in the seat. Yea I will have to change the oil more often and the head unit also, but that is a small price to pay for so much fun. Mine was installed and tuned professionally with all off the self items and nothing special to my setup

I to absoultely love my Blown Z06 with it ECS D1SC Procharger set-up making 600rwhp on it 100% internally stock LS6 motor, and after putting on 3200 miles so far it is has been nothing but 100% reliable and a BLAST to drive. As my comrades have said, my is also professionally installed and tuned by one of the top tuner around, Dan Bills at Finish Line Performance (FLP) in Chicago and just do your homework on the car that you buy to see the exact type of system it is running and who did the install and tune, b/c there is a lot to the old saying BUYER BEWARE and you want to make sure you are not buying sombody else's headache!!
You dont know how good it is to be superchargered. I would never want a stock Vette again. When I drove a stock C5 last week, I said OMG, please do something to this car, it felt so slow and I only have 430-450 rwhp, imagine peterpans car, he has 742 rwhp, that must be a real beast. I cant imagine going from 450 back to stock
Go for it
