I want to install a radar detector at the upper windshield molding on my '98 coupe. Is there a "hot in run" wire in the bundle to the mirror or the lights on the visor? I want to have 12 volts only when the key is in the run position and not 12 volts all the time in case I forget to turn the detector off.
If there is such a wire, what is the color code? Is black a ground, as is common in most circuits? As I recall, C4 had several grounds in the bundle to the mirror and the one chosen had to be a hot in run ground for this type of installation to work. If there are multiple grounds, is there a way to determine which one works other than trial and error?
The link above indicates info for the '99. Wonder if it is safe to assume it applies to the '98 as well.

Should be ,make sure the door is closed and the ignition on , I beleive its the last wire on the right and the second from the left when you look into the plug. I used a phone cord but had to splice into the wires .
