Spark Knock Problem.....help
i have a friend with a lingenfelter 383 04 ls1. lingenfelter did 100% of the work, he lives just outside of miami, fl and drove up to decater. the car was done about 18 months ago. since then he has been back for a problem that they can see but can not fix. at exactly 5500 rpm in every gear there is spark knock. no code is being given off just spark knock as can bee seen when they hook up the box to the car. its not a bad fuel inejctor, lingenfelter replaced all, its not a bad filter, its not anything to do with fuel as the car does not roll over on dyno charts- car runs 11.50 @ 121 with a baby cam 214/218 116 center line. its not headers hitting, its not a ground problem...... what would cause a 5500 knock in every gear?????

I had codes for both knock sensors after my engine was replaced. There is a tsb about building a wall around the knock sensors with rtv. Water gets down inside the hole the knock sensor mounts in and sends false codes.
