Just back from synergy Motorsports to get my car tuned. I was very impressed with the job Rick did. Thought you might like to see the graph. I also thought many of you might like to see the comparison graph for my much lamented 69 L88 clone. I loved the power of the L88 but I also love a/c, power steering, stereo, etc. I now believe I have almost got my L88 back, at least in spirit.
The Z has an SLP 402 with AFR 225 high compression heads. I am running a 228/230 @ .591 lift on 114 centers, LG long tubes with high flow cats, stock air cleaner assembly and intake.
The L88 was a factory crate motor with all factory internals. i.e L88 cam, forged 12:1 pistons, alum factory heads 2.19/1.88 valves, factory stamped L88 intake and replacement Holley 4 barrel, Hooker side pipes.

p.s. I believe I know have as much or more rwhp as the marvelous new ZO6

Nice! I have a similar setup. SLP 402 with AFR 225 heads. The difference is that I am running a F.A.S.T. 90mm intake, 90mm TPIS tb, a bigger cam, Kooks 1 7/8" headers, X-pipe, no cats and B&B bullets. Air intake is a massive Haltech.
I am making 517rwhp and 490rwtq. Can't wait to try it out at the strip.

Congrats on the great numbers Chuck! Having had the privilege of riding in both your cars I can say you have a real monster on your hands that compares very favorably with the performance of the 69. I am predicting long black strips of burned rubber in our culdesac and some fun surprises for the unsuspecting C6 Z06s in the area!
I will be available to bail you out any time you need me!

Did you take it to Myron Candell (in Minn.) for the work ?
Pio,
Fidenza alum flywheel with LS7 clutch & pressure plate.
Lewishou,
I would have taken the car to Rick for the engine swap; but because it was on a day that Synergy was closed when I discovered my factory engine basically toasted due to a broken valve spring, I took it to Valaya Racing which was about 20 miles closer. Without raising the rath of others on this forum, can I say that he specializes in Vipers? There were 16 there one day. Even so, he is a great guy and I was very pleased with his work overall, even if there were a few things he wasn't as up on as Rick would have been.

How do you find that clutch? I am running a Spec III and get a bit of chatter so was contemplating this swap.
