Would like to say hello to everyone! I'm in the market for a new car and I've decided on a Corvette. I'm currently undecided between the Z06 and the C6, but after ready a lot of posts, I feel I can get some of my Q's answered.
- Is the described wheel-hop people are experiencing from the IRS or dumping the clutch with the traction system on (don't know the vette code for it)?
- I read the Z has a thinner windshield than a coupe. Is this true, and if so, is anyone having any cracking issues?
- What negative effect, if any, derives from lowering the car on the stock bolts (NE roads suck!)?
Thanks in advance!

Welcome. The wheel hop is evident under hard acceleration off the line and also sometimes on bumpy roads. The windshield is different then that on the coupe but there are very few cracking issues and those issues are not attributed to the z06's windshield. Lowering the car will just make you drag on speed bumps and road debris as the car is very low already.
