Std Painted Thin Spokes - Advise Pls on modding them
hey Chaps, 
Im thinking of getting some thin spokes but they arent chrome
Chrome seems to look best on dark cars like mine so im kinda unsure
what to do
Chrome as a process is also prohibitively expensive right - aka 600$ or $900 /or more...
Question:
Are the painted think spokes , materially the same as the Aluminium ones that are polished and clear coated?
would sandblasting and polishing them yield the shiny-near-chrome-look?
Z06 rims - the earlier ones, in the spiral??? colour - look good against dark purple as well, (anyone know of a paint code for those rims ), maybe I could repaint these thin spokes im looking at :if i get them - and as a result -come out a little more satisfied for the comprimise?

After 2000, all painted thin spokes were spun cast. All high polished thin spokes are forged. So, they are different material, not sure that it makes a difference in polishing. I'm sure with enough time you could polish painted wheels. I would then clear coat them or your maintenance will be too much.
But with polished wheels available for $500-600, I'm not sure it would be worth the effort.
