Default fuel button release

Hi Guys,
Anyone had any problems with the fuel button for the door release.
Is there a common fault with them.
Did a search but nothing came up.

(knock on wood) no problems here. i believe the om refers to a manual release if the console button fails. bub

No probs with mine but I can say from experience that if you had the console out, it is real easy to NOT get the connector back in place. The manual release is a pull wire by the rear driver's side wheel hump. If not visible, then it is probably been tucked under the carpet.

I have two problems with mine, one when I forgot to plug the harness back in after a shifter install and two, I have to use it all to often to put over overpriced gas in the tank.

I had pulled into the petrol/gas station and the door would not open so I used the manual release, I will check the release switch over the weekend from my trusty GM service manuals I just received in the mail this week.
Brilliant set of books!!

Ya might check the fuse, too. I believe it in the passenger side footwell fusebox, though I can't tell you right off which one it is.....
