i "offically" took mine out yesterday...... cleaned it all up nice...brought it for an oil change an a new sticker.......took it for about 50 mile cruise with the windows down!! damn that felt good
I don't drive it hard until after the first gas-up. Even with the gas additive, I think you still lose some octane over the Winter. Don't want to hear any pinging!
Also, I do all of my cleaning like polish, 2 coats of wax, leather treatment (Lexol), interior treatment, weather stripping treatment (di-electric grease), and so on BEFORE I put the car in storage. So, when Sprint arrives, I pull off the cover, disconnect the battery tender, let air out of the tire to get back the 30 PSI and I am ready to go. There is no better feeling to jump into a VERY clean vette after a LONG winter!
I called the insurance yesterday. This morning I disconnected the battery tender and it started perfectly. I filled it with gas. I drove it to work. I'm getting an oil change hopefully today.
But I have a problem. 4 years ago I had to have the rear main seal replaced. Each year when I start it for the first time there is a 3" diameter puddle under the car. The seal always seals itself after I drive it. This year the puddle is about a foot diameter. I gotta get this fixed.
I did notice that this is the first year that I didnt get the low tire pressure reading. They held pressure at 29-30 psi through the winter.
I ran it through a touch free car wash to get the dust off, but now I need to detail it big time.
