There are mixed reports....
One post said no he used a decible meter....
I say yes.
I suspect it might be based on whose partition and its construction.
I bought mine from CF member CrazyCowboy it has an ABS core and is carpeted on both sides. http://www.exoticvette.com/partition.htm
I say no. I have a vert. It DEF stops noise, as when I put it off I heard music really well even with the top down, from behind the car. As soon as I put it on with music playing, sound cut in half. As far as getting rid of exhaust note, it DOES NOT CURE DRONE. I don't see how anyone would ever say that it does. Note, maybe different, I'm not sure because I'm on the BB Rte. 66
The only thing that will cure drone is a different exhaust system. Low frequencies cannot be stopped easily or in the case of exhaust drone, at all.
Went through the same thing with my coupe and a set of Loudmouths. The only way for me to stop the drone was to switch to GHLs. Sorry, I know from experience that is not the answer you wanted to hear
