Need your advise
Odd situation, I've got a saleen mustang trying to goad me in to a race, or at least that's what I think he wants. He followed me the other day cursed me out for no reason, and then last night he found where I live as he drove by whileI pulled up to park. He parked, got on his cell and racked off his pipes, I walked near his car and he wouldn't look at me direct, but stayed and spent 5 minutes racking his pipes intermittently.
Really felt like going up to his car and pulling him out of it and having a serious talk, if you know what I mean. But I know that what we want to and what we should do are sometimes two different things.
Don't have a clue as to what a saleen has in it. Is it just another mustang or is it a serious car?
I feel better now that I've posted this, but in a way I feel stupid for doing it.

No serious car guy would act like that.
Also, he'd have to have some serious work to give you a good run. Supercharger at least.
I've had 7 mustangs and tons of friends with them, as well...Most are all bark.
Just ignore this idiot. If he comes back, get his plate and call the cops.

Many of the Saleens are just the "stage 1" which is just a ricer body kit. the next model up has a supercharger but it's barely comprable to a stock C5. If you've got mods you've honestly got nothing to worry about, unless he's got more money in that rustang than you do your vette. Then of course it's just a modding war and if that's the case, i'm sure i can find a 1.3 liter roatary to kick both your butts.

yeah unless its a Saleen S281..the $70K+ version I wouldn't even start to be concerned

saleen mustangs are not exactly slouches; however, under no circumstance is street racing a good idea.

If it were me... I'd go and try to talk to him and talk UP his car... tell him how 
it is and make up some spiff about how much you like them.
Keeping in mind the whole time that the conversation is pointless

Someone who acts like this is obviously missing vital hardware up top and I would be very leary and aprehensive in dealing with someone who acts like you said,strange and wierd. If he persists this is called harrassment and let the law know his licence plate no# and whats going on. In this day and age you never know, even nuts and unstable people can own nice cars. If this guy acts this way it could turn into more if he's not all there and I would be concerned for the safety of myself, family and my CORVETTE.

Thanks everyone. I was not at my best at thinking through the situation. Thanks to you guys and this forum I had a chance to see the situation with a clearer view.
It worries me that that guy knows where I live. I think I'll take a picture of him, his car and the plate then keep track of what he does. That way if something happins to my Corvette; he'll be the prime suspect and I'll put your advise to good use.
