Wow! First "test" since getting mods installed! Impressed! (LONG)
When I bought my 99 Auto C5 it had the g92 option and blackwing intake. I usually take it VERY easy on the streets, after having 2 close calls in my 2000 GT, but I did get the chance to race my friend who had an 05 Subaru STi with exhaust and reflash. Similarly equipped cars are in the high 12s with a good launch. We went from a stop on a very deserted road but he didnt really utilize the AWD so I beat him by 2 cars to 100.
A week later I got a borla stinger catback, WCC Xpipe, and ASP crank pulley installed, along with a dyno test that put me at 298 baseline and 312rwhp after mods, with no tune (that it badly needs).
So today, I'm driving home from the gym and it's actually dry outside! I'm sitting at a red light and I can hear this Harley behind me, coming around to pass the cars and be first at the light. He takes off kinda hard from a light and gets onto the good racing road (closed course, plenty of emergency vehicles, sanctioned by the local police
) I follow and we catch the next red. On green, I take off at a spirited pace and he's right next to me. I hear his revs climbing so I figure it's on. Floor it, car drops back to first and WHOA! Lay rubber, get slightly sideways, and TAKE OFF! Put about 5 cars on him to 70 and then I think he was no longer trying. Now, I'm not sure if he was ever really in it, but I know those bikes aren't too fast anyway.
The point of my long-winded story, however, is that I was really impressed with the difference the mods made! The car feels like a true beast! High HP + light weight =
