I bought blackouts for my black z. Had problems with the front, and the vendor says to remove the lights to install the blackouts. A quick look from above says it's an under the car job. My car is too low to see without jacking up.
Is this a matter of getting the front up and removing the lower panels to get access to the lights?
Anyone else have to remove the lights to install acrylic covers, or am I getting the run-around for a poor quality product?
i got the black front covers, you take off the 7 screw/bolts, think there 7 or 8 mm, then you just loosen the one 7-8mm bolt that holds the light tight, dont take it off all the way just loose enough so you can slide it in fron the top/side, it helps to have another person helping you to guide the blackout, or push the light in for more clearance.. hope this helps!
just push the lights, there's a spring on the top, one 7mm screw on the outboard of each, and a self-tapping 10mm on the inboard, you will have to remove the 5 7mm screws on each close out panel to gain access
i had these off for some spring cleaning, i had to remove the front cover on my FRC, previous owner had broken a bulb in the lamp housing
