you need to upload them from a location on your computer to a photo hosting site (I use Photobucket.com)
You will see URL address under the pic
Hold down the left button on your mouse while scrolling over the address.
It should be highlighted.When you release the button on your mouse it should still be highlighted.
Right click on your mouse and select copy
When making a post if you want to display an image select the yellow box,insert image will appear.press it
A box will appear @ the top of your screen.
Right click your mouse and select paste.
your URL address should appear in your post.
when you submit your post,your pic should appear.

I know VERY little about computers and there might be a better way to do this,but this is how I do it.

Found the page where you can change your avatar, but can't seem to lower the resolution enough to be accepted by the website....upload keeps failing, file too large........

Whoa, Molson! Well, you know, I just have to say that your enlightening excerpt is one of the most understandable explanations on how to post pics on this forum EVAR explained! 
In fact, I might even finally try to learn how to post pics (after all this time), myself! I know, I've been too lazy (actually, too damn busy answering a gazillion PM's and post's) to learn: I know, shame, shame, shame on me!
