I think you'll most likely need a new car. If you're lucky, your insurance company will total yours out and you can get a new one.
sorry to hear about your misfortunues

It's not cheap to have fixed. Good luck I hope thats not the problem.

A squeak/Chirp can be a lot of things like the balancer, belt tensioner, air pump or even the alternator and they aren’t cheap to fix. So let try to help this guy and not be a smart ***.

To narrow your search for the chirping culprit, with the engine idling, carefully detension the main serpentine belt. If the chirping stops, one of the s-belt pulleys/idlers/tensioners is bad, however you probably can't tell which. If the chirping doesn't stop with the s-belt detensioned, the chirper is probably on the A/C loop, but very difficult to pinpoint.
With the engine NOT running, check the pulleys, tensioners, and idlers for visible signs of wear, wobble, binding, etc. Idlers and tensioners are relatively inexpension and easy to replace and should probably be done in pairs, i.e. if you replace the idler on that belt, replace the tensioner too!

Seriously, I had a bad day and probably should’ve stayed away from the keyboard yesterday.

Back on the track here - I had the same noise, and as one reply has already said it can be difficult to determine the problem.
In my case we first replaced the harmonic damper - which appeared to be wobbling and bumping into the side of the serpenetine belt. That didn't solve it. Then we cleaned the belts - thinking some oil had gotten on them and was causing a chirp.
Then we replaced the AC belt.
It was the tensioner.
This was such an annoying sound - sounded like a million crickets under the hood of my cool car.
Good luck

I thought the same thing, try it sometime.
