Then Bassini it is , my factory one has a crack in it, Thanks for the info guys, I was kinda leaning towards the Bassini, but now my mind is made .Thanks
I have a West Coast Corvettes piece and I love it. Totally helped the sound from my stingers.
Not only that but the design is WAY better than the Corsa. Better take a look before you spend money on something that might not hold up as well. I'm not sure if Bassani has the same type of design, or not.
None. I have the Corsa and it quieted down my exhaust. Don't believe the hype. They really don't do much, if anything for SOTP or horsepower, in my opinion. Get an x-pipe with a set of headers. I'd save your money otherwise
Improves the scavenging of exhaust flow and balancing of exhaust pulses, which improves flow overall. Not a huge performance difference, but an improvement nonetheless.
The better balanced flow also results in a smoother sounding exhaust and, as some have reported, depending upon exhaust system you have, you MAY experience:
1) a quieter exhaust
2) a deeper exhaust tone
3) reduced resonance
4) reduced popping
I don't have any "without" experience, so I can't comment on all of these possibilities, but I can tell you that my exhaust sounds very smooth with my West Coast Corvettes x-pipe. In fact, if I were as smooth, I'd be a bigger hit with the ladies.
It cures the popping on decelleration and the motorboat sound at idle.
i have a true x pipe, like the bassani. i think it just looks like it will work better. i dont know if there really IS a difference between x pipes other than the design, ease of install, quality of materials. the magna flow is a true x. looks like the bassani, good material, welded properly, and the best bang for the buck.
#1 cut out h pipe
#2 tack x pipe in place
#3 remove rear and front bolts of middle shaft
#4 weld the rest of x pipe together and bolts back up
cost me around $125 all done at a local muffler shop incuding the x pipe
you still need to cut and clamp/weld with the others and they cost 2-3 times as much for the same thing in the end
I have the Corsa on my 03 Z06 with the rest of the exhaust stock. Did this to get rid of the jingle (very loud on my car). It smoothed out the car a lot, and removed the poping on decel. If you like the poping, then that would be a disadvantage.
I have the Bassani X-pipe, installed a year ago. I echo everyone else's comments about the quality of this product. It's top notch.
FYI - Mine will be available in a few weeks after I have a new SuperMaxx header system installed. This particular system includes an X-pipe so the one I have will come out. I'll sell it for the best offer over $150 (I paid $299 new).
