...would you still have to get O2 simms?

I would assume yes. If your allowing the gases to pass through unabated it would be the same as a test pipe.

No you wouldent need sims, because all your doing is gutting your cats, you might wreck your 02 sensors, but they will still be there. You only need o2 sims if your running test pipes.

You will need simms if you do not want to look at the check engine light, it will not run bad with the light but I hate to look at it.

Most definitely you have to have the sims, the purpose of the downstream O2 sensors is to prove the converter is working, which it is not if you gut it out. The sims just send a false OK reading to the computer. Sorry

I think that makes a lot of sense. I was thinking that if the O2 sensors are left in there, that it may make your PCM think is running rich, and may lean out your car.
