Ok, time to change pads and need some help. I'm not dropping $500 plus for Eradispeeds and I'm not willing to wait 30 days for the Bendix drilled/slotted stuff from the WDP group purchase deal.
Figured I'd save up for the rotors I want and go as aggressive as possible with the pad (stock rotors from NAPA are $27 each). On stock rotors what is the recommended high-performance street pad? I'm looking for better braking from the daily driver, not a road race pad that needs to get hot to stop or anything. Any opinions? Semi-metallic or ceramic? Thanks...

The stock GM pads are very good - but they dust more than some of the aftermarket parts. Personally - I run the Hawk HPS pads. They dust too, but less than OEM. They stop great, no squealing and seem to last a long time. I took the set off I had - they had about 20K miles on them, and they were only about 20% worn.
For street the hawks aren't bad, I've run them. They can glaze fast on track use though. I've actually run them successfully on the backs at a less brake intensive track with no issue.
GM Z06 pads will work well too, and are really quite good since you're otherwise stock. The problem I have with GM pads is they seem so darn expensive IMHO.
Hawk HPS for the street....HP Plus or DT-10 for track. NAPA rotors 'cause they're cheap and work just fine. can keep a spare set in case you need to swap between runs
