Default Radar Installation

I have a VI and would like to directly install it into the rear view mirror using the latest plug in(s) that are available. I have seen this discussed on the forum but cannot locate the thread. So, I would really appreciate any of you experts letting me know what is available and also where I may purchase a bracket to eliminate the "suction cups". Thanks very much.

I have seen those rearview mirror mounts and I don't like the way the detector looks mounted under the rearview mirror.
I mounted my 8500 to the top of the windshield to the left of the rearview mirror using the suction cup mount, the detector is not visable from the outside of the car, so a would be theif wont notice it so easily.

mine is hardwired to the accessory plug in the passenger footwell.

look at my sig pic, you can't see my radar detector or my ezpass tag on my windshield!

You can find a cord here (I use this one.)

http://www.invisicord.com/

You can find a mirror mount for the C5 on this site:

http://t-rexsoftware.com/greatlakes/

Just click on the enter button and then the Corvette C5 & C6 items button at the top of the page. The mount is about half way down the page.

Great lakes trophy has a nice bracket, and member teamspeed has a short cord that goes to the mirror. I have also seen people make their own cord from radio shack. Patches has a write up on what looks like a fairly simple cord.
