Did you really pi$$ anyone off on campus? Sometimes these acts are not random acts of stupidity, jeolosy or hate. Sorry it happened - get your self a heavy duty outdoor cover and park under a light.......
So many college adolescents. It's amazing that so many institutions of higher learning are filled with so many children of low mentality. I can feel your frustration.
Yes, the vette is my only car and my daily driver. There is no where around here to park it other than in the assigned parking lot.
Maybe consider a Wolf Noah Car Cover [w/grommets, cable & lock] for around $185.00.
Sorry about your misfortunate incident with the immature/jealous vandels. I saw a nice Vette in a parking lot one time with a large open grape fruit someone had intentional smashed on the back section.

I believe some of them are there only because their parents forced them to go.
Sorry to hear that Hunter. Someone came down our street last week and shot out the windows of every car parked on the street with a BB Gun. No, they didn't get to my vette but they did shoot out the window in my jeep. It sucks and we usually don't find out who did it. Hang in there. If the damage is bad make a police report and file insurance!

Very sorry to hear about this. That must have been a real drag to discover. As you washed the mud away, I hope you picked out the larger rocks by hand. Might help prevent additional serious scratching that way. I agree with the others about a good car cover. It's not as easy to be jealous of something you can't really see as well and the incentive to act on the impulse decreases when you up the hassle quotient. Unless of course the perpetrator is really determined.
That's probably why my wife hides the cookies from me when she buys them at the market. If I can't see the bag, I can't attack it when no one else is looking.
I spent $300 in the last week on car care products to get my car ready for the warm weather and taking it out this spring/summer. I park in a college apartment complex which is fairly well lit and there are always people walking by so I figure my car is pretty safe. Well tonight someone apparently felt it was a good idea to take all the mud from the construction site behind my apartment complex and dump it on my car, full of rocks and jagged pebbles. My roommates asked what I was going to do and I didn't really know what to say other than to shrug my shoulders and hope that when I wash it tomorrow there aren't any scratches. I'll never be able to find out who did it but if anyone ever touches my car again and I see it, I fear for their safety. Very frustrated right now...
There's always that fear you live with when you own a nice car. There's always potential for somebody to mess with it.
I hope I never have to experience that aweful feeling, if I do, I just hope I can catch the person in the act. I'll be more than willing to show him how to properly vandalize a car using his head. Yes, I will head-lock the bastard and drive his head into my fender until he drops to the floor unconscious.

That's vandalism, have the police come and fill out a report, you should take photos before you clean it off. After the police do what they can, carefully rinse the car with plenty of clean water. Check for scratches or other damage to the paint. If it's worth it to you, call your insurance to see if they will pay to have the finish professionally restored. Depending on your deductible, it may be better to just bring it to a paint shop that can buff out the damage without a repaint, and not even bother filing an insurance claim.
Yeah, sorry guy. But I waited a long time to trade in my trans am on a vette until I actually had a garage to park it in.
When I did live in apartments with my TA, I still made sure everyone there knew it was protected by Glock .40 :o
I had my 92 vette convert. when I was at college, and one morning I came outside and saw that someone had cracked all four rear taillights, along with my foglights and my side view mirrors.....never found out who did it, but I learned my lesson, not to bring my vette to college anymore. So I know how you feel.
Kinda had the same thing happen to me. Came out to my car and someone had carved 3 large 'Z's..one on the hood and the other two on each door. One word 'LIVID".....

Maaan that`s even worst.I feel your pain and anger.
I hate hearing about crap like this. Someone always has to be an azz.
I am worried a little myself because I have to park my Vette in the driveway (un-lockable '69 Bronco in garage). I bought a car cover for it, and even if I lock the cover someone still can get to it.

lol, I would put a car cover on the bronco and put it outside.
