Default Birthday present recomendations??

I'll be turning 27 on the 13th. My wife has finally backed me in a corner asking what I want, which I stall have no clue. I just ordered the led's to swap all the lights on the inside to blue, but she wants to get me something else....vette related. What do yall ask for for birthday presents...seems like this is turning into an addiction.....any recommendations??

Oh, price wise, looking at a couple hundred bucks....moneys kinda tight right now....building a 30 X 40 double garage/workshop for the vette that will eventually have a 4 post lift...and complete air tools....

For yall that don't remember....I have a 2001 Tripple Black Vert....all stock...

Not sure if I wnat looks or performance...so recommend all.....

Thanks,
Scott.

Interrior package, or some mods that look good (your choice). Our cars are faster enough ( I know I will here about this statement "never fast enough"). But get what you want. Mods that make your car look better can be seen and enjoyed by all. Performance mods seem to decrease the value of your car and only lead to mechanical and legal problems.

You knew it was comming "never fast enough" You only need to worry about it decreacing the value if you plan to sell it, i dont know about you all, but im planning on keeping this bay boy.

But i would agree, with a "couple hundered bucks" do something nice on the interior, or some bling under the hood, if you want to get up to 500 HP with a super or turbos, adding little performance things arent going to help you get there, gotta bite the bullit all at once. get a nice set of loyd's mats and a cpnsu; cover maybe a sterio upgrade, something like that. Sounds like you have a cool wife

Yea, she's on the as long as we can afford it thing....
Truth be told, I am almost finished my stereo upgrade...should get it done as soon as I get back from offshore...I had my complete system from the trans am I just traded in....

I agree about the supercharger, any performance stuff I get, except for exhaust, will be wasted $$$. I'm still trying to figure out my performance plan. goin between the A&A supercharger or a really nice heads and cam package. My wife wants the car to sound like a mustang.... , so I'll be getting an exhaust setup next...

Best mod in your price range I can think of is a window valet. Of course something I keep asking for is a complete set of factory repair manuals. New wheels would be nice but out of the price range. And right now I am really wanting the blue interior lights you said you just got. Mind if I ask where you got them and what the whole set ran you?

Ordered them from Oznium.com. The 3mm leds are backordered right now, but should be in on the 12th. I had trouble findin out how many I needed, so I counted what I should need and ordered a few for extra. I'm planning to do the door switched, DIC, floor panels, trunk, traction control button, rearview mirror and hvac. Total shipped was right at 40 bucks...including all the led's and resistors....Below is what I ordered....hope it's enough.....
I thought about the valet thing....just seems expensive...lol

First two mods are usually, air intake and then a cat back exhaust system....

Get a Blackwing or similar air intake. Or get some nice aftermarket floor mats or painted fuel rail covers.

cold air...it's the best place to start. You'll feel the difference in throttle response right away...but watch out, you'll be hooked.

Happy Birthday!!

A trip to Eckler's...or a Gift Certificate...whichever best suits your location. That's what I'd be asking for...

Hurst shifter. Hopefully it is a 6- speed. Or a skip shift eliminator.. I went the route also of a Hurricane cold air intake, carbon fiber air bridge, 160 degree thermostat, magnaflow x-pipe, and B&B Prt's exhaust. Only to a year later to upgrade to a TTi twin turbo setup. I would buy now mostly used parts. You should be able to save fifty percent. Congrads and good luck with whatever you do decide

ok, this is getting funny....my wife does say I'm hard to shop for...

I've got zaino.....
The car came w/ the skip shift....
The fuel rails were already red/black - not sure if that's stock...
As far as an intake....I have plans in the near future for boost....so I feel like it's waisting $$$ to get one....
cat back is out of the price range....will wait till I have enough to do headers and exhaust at the same time...
Aftermarket floormats.....does that increase hp??

I donno....might go to thunder racing and pickup a b&m short throw.....

All this thinking is makin me dizzy.....

Scott.

Scott alot of members here are upgrading or changing from one setup to the next. Before doing headers make sure you want to go SC. Quite a few good FI systems for sale in the PARTS forum. That's were i found my TTi Stage 1 setup. Good luck and once you boost you never go back

PIAA' are a nice addition. You'll actually be able to see at night and the cost is right where you want to be.
