vanity mirrors
was wondering if anyone out there can give me some ideas of how to get mine working again, both sides aren't lighting up, cant imagine all bulbs burn't out at once, all my other lights, (interior) work, doesn't appear to be a fuse for just those mirrors, lol, i never use them but things not working drive me nuts, btw its a 2000 coupe

pop your hood.... if your light doesn't come on it's the fuse.. it's under the pass foot... which one I have no idea.. i've have the same problem and havne't bothered to fix it... tell ya what I'll go home tonight, find it and take a pic for everyone

Isn't there a small button that pops out that is actually the switch? Maybe it's stuck down and isn't popping up when you open the mirror.....

I'm with you, Bro. And, I have the same dilemma. However, ole Gene at the Karshop can hook you up with an entire used C5 visor replacement.

lol, the hood light doesnt either, i thought that one worked off the light switch like some other cars i've owned, and i've checked both of the little switches on the mirrors(1 off the 1st things i checked) they aren't stuck, ill have to check fuses tomorrow, if you try it and you get it workong, let me know, thanks in advance

ok guys, looked in manual and cant find a fuse for the vanity mirrors or under hood light, if anyone knows which fuse it is, it would be very helpful, really don't want to ask dealer

My Vanities wont work either. The lights on the bottom of the mirror come on when you open door or twist interior **** under the HUD controls BUT they wont come on by the switches on the mirror. That couldn't be the fuse could it, if they work with interior lights but not with switch?

Ha ha..I have the same problem..in the owner's manual it says the relay for the underhood light, vanity lights and rear view mirror is #42 in the fuse box under the passenger's foot area..well I tried to reset the relay and still no light. As stated the lights under the rear view mirror come on when you open the doors..but none of the others...
