Default Leaky Vert Top

I have never had the baby out in the rain, but I got caught in a torrential S. California downpour last week. So, it was the first time I had a chance to really notice that the top leaks, right at the corner where the top meets the vertical and horizontal frames of the windshield.

Can I fix it myself? Should I try? Does anyone know of a good repair person for this in Southern Ca?

Thanks for your help always.

I treated the rag top about 6 months ago. The problem is not the top, it is the way the weatherstripping DOES NOT come together in the 3 sided corner of the driver's side (where the top, horiz. windshield and vertical bar come together).

I had a leak that was actually on the weatherstrip that goes over the driver's window but the way the water flowed made it look like it was at the junction of top and windshield corner. I tried various things like lubricating with silicone spray and pulling the strip out to try and get better contact. Bottom line, the strip had to be replaced and luckily mine was still under warranty. The Vette tech advised that once a strip goes bad, you should replace.

Just in case, you may want to check carefully to make sure exactly where the water is getting in.

I have somewhat the same issue, but it doesn't leak so much as I get wind noise from that same area when I'm going above 50mph. I've tried the top adjustment, but that didn't really do anything or I wasn't doing it right... or both. I'm more inclined to think it's an issue with the window. Let me know what you figure out...

My wife noticed some wind noise at 70 the other day on the freeway from the passenger window/top that hadn't been there b4.
I didn't hear it, but I also have selective hearing loss for her frequency sometimes as well...
Then I remembered the last mod I installed was a window valet.
When I raised the pass side window and it got to the top, it backed off just a little, once.
I remember the initial sensitivity adjustment when installing it did this also.
My vert is in the garage too. I've washed it (manually) and it didn't leak. Do you have a WV?
Best of luck
