Default How to get to ECS...

Alright folks, here's the deal. I live in Northern VA and the car right now is at ECS in NJ having some work done. My roommate was able to drive up with me the first time and then drive me back, but IF the car is done this weekend (a holiday weekend), he may not be available to drive up with me.

So.....IF the car is done, that presents a problem. I can't take time off of work to do this during the week, and I don't want to just let it sit there in the ECS parking lot until the next weekend - when my roommate might be available.

Do you think I could talk Chris into picking me up from an Amtrak station in Trenton on Saturday so I can pick up the car? If not, any other bright ideas that I'm too stupid to think of?

Oh, please don't respond with "Just ask him". I will ask if the car is done, but if he isn't able to do this, I need to think of alternatives.

Ah...life is so stressful.

Thanks.

He probably had someone pick him up, unless he's a well trained jogger.

ECS is pretty accommodating. They will send someone to pick you up or drop you off at Atlantic City airport, rental car places, and most probably the train station as well. Just talk to Chris to coordinate this with them regarding which station works out best for them (Trenton, Princeton). Worst case, you can always take a cab from the train station to ECS.

Thanks Tenderfoot; ECS has nothing but exceptional feedback from their customers, so I'm sure it'll work out just fine.

Thanks.
Stay away from Trenton, especially near the train station.
There is a new station in Hamilton a little closer and safer.

You better talk to Chris before you buy your ticket since this Saturday 4/15 is the East Coast Supercharging Corvette Challenge at Raceway Park. Better to be safe than sorry!!!

I live about 20 minutes from ECS. I am going to be in NYC Friday night and Saturday morning, but if we can coordinate a time, I would be glad to help you out. Pick you up in Hamilton or Trenton and drop you in Cream Ridge. It would have to be mid-day or later though. let me know.

I guess not - not yet. I didn't receive a call today, and it's taking every ounce of discipline not to keep bugging them for status. If I can't get it this weekend, then it'll have to stay there for the entire next week, so I REALLY want to avoid that if possible. I'm crossing my fingers that it'll be done by Saturday.

Reason why I asked is because I was thinking about going to E-town saturday and watching the drag race. E-town is only about 1/2 hr. away from ECS. I live in Southern Pa. and if you could get to Balt.MD I could take you to ECS. But I wouldn't go if the weather was bad

Thanks much for the offer. If the car is done, I'll probably just take the train up and have someone pick me up from the train station (hopefully). If that changes, I'll let you know.

About the weather, I hear that there could be some showers in the morning, but hopefully the afternoon will be spared.
