Are the seats in a 98 also susposed to drop down and back IF you have
the memory seat option....

Mine do not...so I ahve been using button 1 for driving and button 2 for
getting out....

My Brother (now deceased) has a 99 that the seats drop and go to the rear when the key is turned off....unfortunately his wife has not taken that car or his other 2 out of the garage since he died in 2002...

Its not a big deal for me...wife will not drive my cars...

Many times people do not use their FOB to unlock the doors and wonder why their easy entry doesn't work. Also you must close the door before inserting the key in the ignition for it to work properly.

In fact it does go back and down. My senors were out-of-wack and needed to be reprogrammed.

With key out:
Move your seat all the way down. Once down, tap the up/down button 6 times.

Your sensors have been reset

Could you explain this a little more? You say tap the up/down button 6 times. Is that 6 times up or six times down.

My seat has what I would think are sensor problems. Sometimes it will move the back of the seat up when the setting is all the way down. When it does this if I continue to hit the #1 memory button, it will move the back up a little more each time.

Thanks

I use the easy egress feature all the time and the seat only goes back, not down. I'd rather it didn't go down anyway. If you insert the key in the ignition after you unlock the door, it will go to its memory position. Otherwise you have to press the Mem 1 button to make it go there. And then there are days when the seat memory has a mind of its own. You'll get used to it.
