Default I need some protection

ok so i'm well past tired of getting speeding tickets... yes i know what some of you are gonna say...... "don't speed.... I don't" well i try not too... but it happens... sometimes you see a piece of road that screams your name and you just have to get it... well about 3 weeks ago I gave in and gave into a nice speeding ticket

So i've decided i need some protection on my car..... I've been looking into the K40 set up. I dont' want something hangning in my windshield and I don't just want dectors... the local force uses lasers for their road blocks...

Also I have to note... I like my music and I like it loud!!!! so an beep isn't gonna do me much good... I need something that can be intergrated into my speakers to alert me... is there anything besides the K40 that offers such a service?

What do you have? what about it do you like/dislike? lastly price?

I have the V1 but it hangs in the window, you just get used to it. Saved my butt numerous times. It paid for itself in tickets within a month. It does pick up Laser too. My music is usually loud to be able to hear it over my exhaust. I usually have my windows down too, just turn up the volume on the detector.

I saw in one of the magazines where a 'Vette (a 1965) that was owned by a GM exec was parked by a judge when he was brought in for the third time (in Michigan).

I believe the Vette had maybe 10,000 miles at the most and it was recently resurrected and sold for BIG money at auction. His family sold the Vette.

The bottom line was the exec was given the choice -- a year or the registration. The exec supposedly never drove a Vette again.

I really want to drive mine again. I'm not saying I don't speed, but I try to hold it down to a dull roar.

I learned how to drive a car and not get pulled over by driving suspended. When your suspended you know your goose is cooked if you get pulled over for anything

Best bet is to drive like you are suspended for a year (or however your state works) and those points will be off your record. Then it's not such a big deal to get a ticket.

In conjunction with Randy's idea....

Maybe you could out a connector on the speedo needle, another contact at the speed you DON'T want to go over, run a wire from you battery to that one... then another wire to an alligator clip attached to your nipple...

When you get to the "THAT" speed... You'll know to slow down!

WHAT? They use STT in mental institutes don't they?!

or grow up a bit...speeding so frequently that you had to post this indicates you may not be mature enough to drive something fast....or anything for that matter since even a dodge neon can speed. and if you are wanting to haul azz all the time and listen to the radio so loud that you cant hear the world around you much less a beep in your car maybe you should reevaluate your driving...we all speed once in a while....yes i said we all. but to have such disregard for the law that you had to post it in this manner? hmm....yeah....sounds like immature...reminds me of high school all over again when people havent been exposed to the consequences of driving like an idiot.

I chew my little brother out whenever he complains about this issue. One day *crossed fingers* he will grow up enough to realize that driving like an idiot just isn't worth the time or money...or worse, loss of life.

Thanks for reiterating the point!
