Long driving vacation with the wife. Definitely going to install the Pace Car exhaust, maybe an X Pipe as well. Only problem is the wife. Should I take a chance on her hating the new exhaust or wait and let her acclimate slowly. Really don't want to ruin the vacation. She is extremely sensitive to drone, vibrations don't sit well either. Install now or later???
far as i know with the Corsa pacecar system there isn't really a Drone. Drone is one of those things and could actually come from the X pipe. I had a mustang with no cats x pipe and had no drone. Put an X pipe with cats on Drone was there. I say put it on, the Pacecar system always wins my heart over!
You will have ZERO complaints from your wife about the corsa exhaust system. There is NO drone at ANY rpm with or without x-pipe and it is as quiet as the stock system when you are crusing on the hwy. Now when you lean into gas pedal things WILL get loud, but it is a good loud and you will both like it. Congrats on picking a nice exhaust system.
Don't worry. There is no drone and no vibration with the Corsa Pace Car exhaust. And thank you for reminding me how lucky I am that I do not have to receive permission or approval to do anything to my Corvette. I have a great girl!

I seriously doubt you will get any complaints, I know my wife complained about hte loud car but not a peep about the new exhaust. In fact she thinks its funny that I act like a kid, getting them to bark whenever I can. However, if you wife is like a pit bull in that once she latches on to something she is bound and determined to make you just as miserable as humanly possible, make sure to by her the bus ticket home before you leave on the trip and enjoy the Corsas!

Actually she's pretty cool with my decisions. I'm going to go with the install (first significant mods). I only raised the question due to her health reasons, not for her blessing, but if there's no drone or vibe then no need to worry. Not sure if the X Pipe is necessary but from what I gather it eliminates or lessens the "putt-putt' at idle, so I'll go with it.
In fact the corvettes now 2yrs old and she's never driven it. Now's as good a time as ever...I'll let her drive the first leg
Go for it. I installed the pace car system and x pipe last year 2 weeks before leaving on a 3500 mile trip with no regrets. Just as quite as the stock system crusing down the highway but it lets you know it's there when you but your foot in to it.
Have NO Data myself but curious...... any change in fuel economy expected (all else equal, i.e., not due to the extra foot lbs to hear the new roar)???

For the 1000th time. Dynatech long tube headers, cats and x pipe, corsa touring exhaust. No drone no nothing. Just make sure she isn't in the car when you hammer it.

She's always with me when i hammer it Otherwise what's the purpose. No need, plus lack of wallet to be the Alpha male. It's all good, sometimes as badd as I want
FWW I installed pace cars w/o xpipe and got much loud popping (too much for me!), don't recall any drone. Pace cars with standard xpipe, much less popping, much smoother, no drone. Pace cars with Corsa Xpipe almost no popping and smoother yet. If it were me I'd install an xpipe with the pace cars. Much less popping from the car or the lady, and no droning from either! JMHO.
