Where can I get one? I tried ebay and couldn't find one and went to my local parts store and didn't find one... I dont' like others working on my car... but I don't like spending an hour on a project that should take 10 mins...

I wouldn't waste the money on Chiltons - and I'm not even sure that there is a Chilton's for the C5. You are much better off buying a factory service manual (3 volumes) for your specific model year. This is a fairly complex vehicle, and Chilton's couldn't possibly carry all of the details that the factory manual has.
You might find one on Ebay. Failing that, you could place a WTB (want to buy) on the C5 Parts for Sale/Wanted forum here. Another option is buy one new from Ecklers.

Worth the money regardless if you buy new or used. A Chilton's wouldn't even come close.

Get the 3 volume set of factory service manuals - you'll be glad you did. Check with Fichtner Chevy or Fred Beans - both forum vendors and offer very good prices. E-bay has them every now and then as does the C5 Parts for Sale section.
If there WAS a Chiltons or Haynes manual for the C5 I would buy it in a heartbeat! There is no replacement for a dealer manual but those manuals assume that you are a qualified tech. The best bet for ANY car is to suppliment the dealer manuals with a Chiltons or Haynes! Those manuals assume not only that you are NOT a dealer tech but often provide alternative solutions regarding specialty tools and procedures. I will give you a "laymans" example. The dealer manuals on my Caddy's tell you to "screw in" the rear caliper pistons on the car for service of the rear brakes. The Haynes manual tells you how to do it if you do not have that "special tool" that the dealer manual assumes you own. If there is an aftermarket C5 service manual I will buy it yesterday!
I agree it is often good to have a factory AND aftermarket manual. But in my opinion, Chilton manuals are a waste of money. I have several and they only touch the surface, of what is needed. Some use 1/3 the pages going over general safety instructions.
i have a chiltons for my dodge neon but i wouldnt trust one for the C5. i do need the Serv/man sometime. my father swears by his service manual for his goldwing motorcycle, he's sure had it apart enough times for various accessories

I ordered the factory service manuals directly from the the publisher, Helm Incorporated. Check out Helminc.com along with the suggestions from JDs00PewterCoupe. Definitely worth the investment, get the manuals!
chiltons and hayes are a no.
motor manual is a yes but it is a domestic for all model year cars. I can get these within a few months for around $25, but if it was me I would buy a set of GM manuals for 125
