Well, the C6 Z06 shocks arrived today. How much should I expect to pay for installation at a dealer (probably too much) or some other shop?
Before anyone asks...I have no desire to try the installation myself. I simply don't have the time. I don't care how easy it is. I just want them on the car.
My dealer quoted me about $90 to install a set of shocks - that equates to right at 2 hours labor.
Considering my lack of time and interest in f-ing around with this right now...$90.00 is just fine with me. Of course, in a week or two I will be upset with myself for not using this as a learning experience.
it's a pretty easy job if you've done it before. But if you're not working on your car all the time....compressing the struts can be a PITA. 90 bucks isn't bad.
Just curious....I know that you can compress the original shocks on the vehicle by using another jack, but how the hell do you compress the new shocks before they go on?
